I seek solace in music and poetry (Sounds rather stupid I know)

Inspiration drawn from: Pan's Labryinth Lullaby

Notes from the violin tremble
The melody of a wordless lullaby
Stuck in replay in my head
Casting fleeting shadows behind my eyes
Till the time I lay to rest
Till the time I say goodbye

So dark and sad
That the person humming it cried
So heart-achingly beautiful
Fragile, delicate
Just like the works of life

Tugging the strings of the heart
Warning, reminding
Of the darkness that lurks in corners
Invisible, dangerous
Waiting, looking, choosing
Biding its own time

That it'll expose in the test of time
In this vicious cycle
For every heart casts a shadow
And no heart is entirely kind
Entirely true
Entirely void of sins

But we must believe
Against the evil
The good fights, becomes stronger
That someday it'll all come to light

Now I believe
Now I take heed
The warnings from a wordless lullaby
