Formulated the ultimate plan today after school. Had tuition at 5, and didn't want to go home and get to Mel's house again. Went Vivo with Ham, shopped around and had lunch at 4. But by the time I reached Harbourfront MRT it was already 5:07PM, 7 minutes past the start of tuition! I thought I'd reach her house at about 530pm no sweat but when I reached Outram to check how long it took it takes 25 minutes! My phone battery was flat (always at the wrong time) and my iPod clock wasn't to be trusted. I had to look at other people's watches in the train. Not an easy task. They all had different times!

Ran all the way from NEL to EWL and ran from Tanah Merah to her house. Almost fearful I'd lose my way I stopped a lady to ask for directions and continued running.

From the top of a hill I saw this 2 people coming out from the sidegate using a key. Then it clicked maybe I needed a key. Then I raaan there to ask.

"Excuse me I'm visiting a friend do I need a key to go in or d'you know of a shortcut I can get in by?"
"Yes I have the shortcut." (Flashes the key)

"Thank you SO much!"

"Only for you because you're so sweet, not for other people"

"Thank you so so much!"

"No problem darling!"

Super grateful for people like that. And I dashed to her block and by the time it was about 5.40. While waiting for the lift I suddenly remembered I don't really know her floor! Looked at the numbers and racked my brain and I just tried 6 and it was!

So I ran out and then pressed the doorbell to realize it had no sound it was a fake doorbell oh my God, I didn't know if I should hover around the gate or I should call out when I saw Melissa Chan..

Holding a DVD or a box of chocolates and sucking her fingers eating happily. I just stood there stunned and..

"Tuition start already?!" (Nearly hysterical and out of breath)

"Huh no."

"WHAT!?!?! WHY?!?"

"Tuition postponed to 6."

I just squatted there for about 5 minutes whining and shouting and raving about how I ran and how I was so tired running and rushing and how I ..

So I was done whining.

"Ey, can open your gate for me"
