SC Camp 07
SC camp was a blast, thankfully it ended well and high with the thumbprint activity. Got a bit of everyone's thumbprint left behind.
Shan't delve into details, but every moment was to be savoured for the rest of my life. Said my piece and I can say it is entirely great to spend 2D1N with people with the same vision, never complaining or grumbling about anything that went wrong because they do know the painstaking hard work and effort put into everything planned. Kudos to you! We are all also people of the same kind, the passion, the belief we have for life, friends and what we do is strong so it's been really cool.
They understand the process > the results afterall. So no one even asked about the overall group winner though we forgot to say it. The process was fantastic, I got to know more people (Daniel, Rachel) and more people knew me better (Joshua!) and those whom I already knew, I got to know them better (Zara, Szu Yee and more)
Yep, Zara + Szu Yee + I = The magician's club. Long story though. I confessed to Siswo that he's my idol (Ha!) and I am glad that I was given Group 4. Cynthia, Rachel, Yixiang, Daniel, Cassandra, Gillain, Jia Hui (For a short while) and Mabel as ICs together. They aren't the craziest, but they support each other all the same. We won overall Group 4! Be proud!
I'm proud of the spirit all you people have. The fighting spirit, the "Don't say die" spirit. Those spirits especially shone during the telematch, where at 1 point you're supposed to lift the bucket with your legs as a team. Cynthia's thighs cramped so badly she couldn't move it. But she kept repeating "Don't give up, don't give it up" to Group 4 when I asked if she wants to let it go. I was super touched. Group 4 held the bucket up for probably over an hour altogether! Gillian and Rachel's legs cramped too and they never gave up. Jun Jie too, which according to Cherie he continued to smile and be happy anyway. Those strong spirits deserve to be saluted!
EXCO, love you guys too. I'd write a tribute someday else :D
My 1st week has been consumed thoroughly by SC activites, but I can't think of anything else I'd rather do. But do is it keep my heart and take the memories and focus on studying for the next few months.
There are times I feel like giving up, but after witnessing our strong SC family, I realized there is somewhere I truly belong.
