Blogger was down yesterday and hence I also wasn't able to change the template but I think I might be happy with this anyway, though people claimed it's crammed and small.
Big treasure in small box, no?
I overrate myself ha ha! Weeble. Wait what's weeble. Ok ok ok ok ok sorry back on track.
Went to a Biennale exhibit in the City Hall yesterday. Biennale gets so much coverage in Life! papers I remember this special type of hormones were sprayed in City Hall. Art? Yes. Visible? No. Anyway I think it's emotional art, kinds of pours out all your hidden love senses when you inhale these hormones. I don't think there were hormones when I went. I didn't start kissing the pillars or floors. One bottle's supposedly extremely pricey too.
The art works were extremely thought provoking, and the court rooms just totally scares Melina and I. There's something forbidden in those court rooms, as if you're not supposed to be talking loudly, as if there are secrets lurking in every nook and cranny. There's one where the clock was one minute to 12 and I think it means the last minute. Imagine, the last minute in a court room. All the accused, all the prosecutors and the judge and jury determining one man's fate. Whoahhhh I don't know how to put the exact feel into words, but the rooms definitely have some mysterious, confined, aura that doesn't exactly make you breathe easy.
Ok but we did go crazy in the main hall up front where you first enter. We sat on the floor seperating badges just to win a plasma TV. There's this contest where you collect all 95 badges and pin it onto a cloth and send in to take part in a lucky draw. I was in charge of pinning! The people were nice. So we finished the 28 badges we were supposed to find at City Hall and they suggested going to 3 other places where Biennale exhibits were held. I seriously thought they were kidding but..
Yes we went to SMU, National Museum (and dropped by House of Cartier) and went to Arts Museum. We have a total of 31 now, about a third and Agnes Ong is going to Tanglin Camp on Monday. They even have strategies oh my God.
Biennale was really good in my opinion. Singaporeans do have a need to be opened to more abstract ideas, more provocative, more controversial ideas to provoke thoughts! We can't be so square-minded living in a box. Think out of the box! I believe Biennale taught me that. Whoah whoah!
