Everybody Dance Now!
EVERYBODY DANCE NOW!
Camp, rocked! It was good I tell you. Going to give a really brief outline; not going to go into each activity since I went through once with Hannah on the bus, reliving the moments, many with different people, and once more detailed description of the camp with bro and mum and dad.
So here goes: Camp really rocked! Activities held included: Team dynamics, when we came up with the group name Ditto and got to know each other. Then Night Activity- Kidnapped when Jovi got "kidnapped" and we had to walk alone in the dark alone (I stress again) but it wasn't really scary. Real cool. Next day, the climb to Mount Panti! We climbed really really high and long with out buddy group :D Group 20, H20! And it was tough, real tough walking over twigs, having a good grip of the ground, the altitude was very steep, walking over fallen trees, through thick undergrowth and catching up with the fast pace. But we made it! We climbed up the 90 degree rock wall without any safety equipment attached to us, then climbed somemore 90 degree stuff using lots of arm power. When we walked up and I saw that view, I was like God, I'm on the top of the world. We ate there and went back down again. During the walk down, we had to sit on our butts and slide/ease ourselves down. I've decided it was the funniest moment during the camp. Imagine, I was the 4th last student of over 100 people. And I'm sitting on the top of some mountain and I see 100 over people below me on their butts forming a snaky line down the hill. Damn funny! And I have decided I'm the kind of person who will fall even if I stand still :D
Next day, elements! I did abseilling and I was scared but I did it! Side transverse over the river was tiring and the rock climbing was tiring tooo! We thought Jovi could do it with his butt power but aiyah no more strength (: Ok, then the wet elements! We went to this river. And we had to cross through very thick plants full of thorns and we weren't wearing long pants. Zhiying and I were in front, behind the instructor. The guys are not man enough lah! Hahah they were screaming: Ow! So pain! Got thorn! Help! Haha Tim-Tum! The guys in D20 (Ditto + H20) are super funny. Act gay. Ok then we played in the water! Everybody dance now :D Damn nice, had a great time. And then went back, indiana jones, kayaking and raft building. And then camp fire. Ok, my computer ate up my post. So this is going to be shorter than the original one. School song had never been sang so loudly before. I think we sang louder than the whole school put together I tell you. You reading this, yes you Dunmanian :D Sing loudly on Monday is it OK! Alright! Hmm, and then. We went to Jusco mall and ..
Walao this computer cut off half of my post I am super lazy to recount already lah! Lousy :\ Just wanna say I am really really grateful to have such loyal and good friends who are really willing to sacrifice their freedom and stand by me. Thankyou Mel, Jm, Agnes, Hannah, Eva, Cherie and Serene for doing so. DHS totally filled every single seat of the Jusco Pizza Hut.
Apparently the next paragraph was one about thanking all the grp mates. But I shall cut it short, since I'm really lazy to retype. Zhiying, for being caring and supportive. Jenny, for being funny and sporty. Kianhong, the firefly princess and for taking care of us during hike down Panti. Boyang, the cute one, ha ha. Boy Ang! And JOVIIIII! For being super ultra sporting! And for providing some glory to DITTO cos of your famous butt :D Tommyyy for just being tommy the tim-tum. Ee Chow Mabiao Mengying Yihui and Zhifang for establishing some form of peace. Suat & Wynne for your intellectual conversations. Geneve for cheering loud (: And to Ruixian for your philosophies and entertainment during the hike/slide down Panti and for being sucha great leader! Farah, for the best instructor I had in 3 years (: I'd miss you :( Christy for being cool! And to me, for being able to try out, and to do my best to bring a little of me to the group :D I'm praising myself to the skies :D
Ok anyway, camp was good, but time just whizzed by. I've tried out stuff I never tried before. And I pushed myself, touching dirty soil, eating with my hands, grabbing twigs and trees. I never did those when I ate at home (I try not to) nor have I ever dared to grab hold of trees, and soil and rocks around me during walks with my family. Urgh, but I did all those and I'm proud of myself (:
In any case, I love camps! And I'm extremely proud to be a Dunmanian and have the DHS spirit flowing in me. Hope this spirit never ever ends! GO DUNMAN!
