McRitchie + Jumps = Die!
I can have one word to summarize this whole day:
Tiring!
Oh man, started off the day with like a what, 1000km walk in MacRitchie park to the treetop walk. It was super tiring walking in those paths, up down, up down, climbing stairs, then catching up with the ultra fast pace the guide Mr Andrew Tay set. He's 42! I can't imagine. What's worse is I volunteered to help Eva carry her bag (Since I was so enthu about training myself) and since I volunteered I didn't get paid. Shucks. Her bag was h-eavy, but it's ok. Helped her to carry still walk so slow :D Pictures will be up, when I feel like it. Damn tiring. But on the plus side, it was cooling nearing the top, and no snakes or creepy crawlies fell on me. I was soo afraid of snakes falling down from trees due to a childhood trauma. And my dad loves to go for such walks. My whole family in fact. I like it too :D Minus snakes. And creepy crawlies.
Ok, after that super hot, long and tiring walk, we went back to school and Cherie, Serene and I went to Parkway to have lunch first before going for track. We kind of got 'lost' due to Agnes' direction to "the bus stop in front of TNS, take 13". So we took 15 from Parkway to in front of KC and climbed the overhead bridge to in front of TNS. Guess what? There was no 13! So we were exclaiming, "No 13?! I'm going to kill Agnes!" Then this nice girl who was um, taking off her shoe gave us directions to the correct bus stop. Gahh..!
The bus ride was long and made us lethargic. I was sleeping on the bus, and by the time we reached J8 all of us were.. Dead. Can't blame us. I had to walk 1000km and they had training in the morning. So there :D
Jumps training didn't make my day any better, not that I'm complaining :D But 10 rounds of running around the carpark on a full stomach isn't what you'd love right. After that, 5 times of staircases! I was sweaty and "OhMyGod-ing". Like I didn't learn my lesson after last year. Only 4 Dunmanians turned up: Me, Cherie, Serene and the Badminton Nicholas. All going for jumps somemore. Had to train under these 2 NYJC guys. I and one of the guys are left-leggers! Yeah, he's nice :D So train train train, and then.. I had a leg cramp. I never had a leg cramp before! So that's how it feels like. No wonder some people drown because of cramps. It scrunches up all your muscles and the nice guy helped me to ease the pain. Then he let go and it came back and the whole process repeated. Then I had to gingerly move on my butt down the mat. Oh no, what a day. Cramps suck.
And then we went home. I went to Bugis to meet my mum, and the guy at M1 looked like a model or actor. My mum and I agreed on that. He looked super familiar. Haha, so many procedures and things to remember. Talk about customer-friendly. But the guy serving us (the model) is super like, easy and patient. Haha. Reached home, had late dinner, TV, bathed, com :D
Oh man, what a tiring day I must say. My whole body is aching! And my stamina is really bad. But it improved I think.
And going on the road of life, I realized I have so much to thank for.
Thank you.
